I'm Tom Cochrane and I'm a photographer, videographer, and digital storyteller based in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
I love cliffs and the ocean next to them. I adore music and the connection between nature and arts. I seriously love Gros Morne National Park. I once climbed a mountain to shoot a wedding and it was awesome.
I've worked with organizations like Adventure Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism, Destination Canada, Go Western Newfoundland, Adventure Central Newfoundland, Writers at Woody Point, and Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador (among others), and have been featured in publications like The Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, Enroute Magazine, Quill and Quire, Saltscapes Magazine, the CBC, The Telegram, and the Memorial University Gazette. I've worked with musicians like Rose Cousins, Hawksley Workman, The Tenors, The Once, Fortunate Ones, Sherman Downey, Matthew Byrne, and more.
I was named Media Person of the Year by MusicNL in 2015 and 2018 for helping promote and share the music and stories of Newfoundland and Labrador musicians, and in 2017 I received MusicNL's Music Video of the Year for directing the music video for Kellie Loder's "Boxes." In 2018 I was named Industry Professional of the Year by MusicNL.
I am a Transport Canada Certified Drone Pilot.
