It's the classic story of girl gets toy nutcracker from creepy uncle, nutcracker comes to life and defends the girl from the Rat King and his Rat Army, and then brings her to a magical place where various groups dance for them.
Dance Studio West brought The Nutcracker back to the Corner Brook Arts and Culture Centre stage in early December 2014. Here's what it looked like. (You can listen to this on repeat to get in the mood.)
